Eucalyptus accedens (Powderbark Wandoo)
$1,200.00
A yellow abundant bloom set against a sunlit trunk.
This work is inspired by Eucalyptus accedens (Powderbark Wandoo), a species defined by its soft, layered bark and quiet strength within the Western Australian landscape. It continues my ongoing interest in the individuality of native trees, each one holding its own distinct character and presence.
Painted in acrylic and texture paste, the vertical composition emphasises the tree’s upward movement and sculptural bark surface. Light tones shift across the structure, revealing subtle variations of cream, grey and warm undertones, which change as the surface catches light from different angles.
It speaks to resilience expressed through softness rather than force.
A vertical format that enhances a sense of height and openness, making it well suited for spaces that benefit from visual lift and natural presence.

Description
Vertical artworks often create a strong sense of presence within a space. Their upright format relates naturally to the human body’s proportions, which makes them feel grounded and visually central. They can function almost like a visual column in an interior, subtly organising and supporting the space without relying on architectural elements or furniture.
