A study of the rare Western Australian mallee, known for its sculptural form and delicate flowering structure. This work focuses on the plant’s intricate branching and soft tonal shifts, expressed through layered paint and textured surface. Created in acrylic and texture paste, the relief captures light differently as the viewer moves around it, revealing depth and subtle changes within the colour. Designed as a standalone work, it also sits well alongside other square pieces in a curated grouping. This framed square piece is ready to hang, bringing a refined fragment of the Australian bush into interior spaces.
