How the Light Arrives
$1,550.00
A moment you might almost miss — and then can’t forget.
This work is inspired by a row of leaning trees on a quiet street in Chatswood, observed at sunset when the light begins to shift and settle. What appears at first glance as warm, earthy tones reveals itself differently up close — there is no brown here. Instead, it’s an optical interplay of violet shadows and lemon-toned light, merging into something the eye reads as familiar, yet unexpected.
Painted in acrylic with sculptural texture paste, the surface catches and reflects light, allowing the colours to subtly transform as you move. The leaning rhythm of the trees creates a gentle sense of movement, guiding the viewer through the composition.
This is not a landscape in the traditional sense, but a close encounter with light itself — how it arrives, changes, and quietly reshapes what we see.
At 76 × 50 cm (framed), this piece holds presence without overwhelming a space, bringing warmth, depth, and a distinctly Australian sense of place into the interior.
