Puppet making gives a good opportunity to work with 3-dimensional shape. Painting basic principles are changing when applied to a volumetric object. Also changing the shape of the object  helps to achieve desired effect.  Plus it is a pleasure to work with different materials (textiles, papier maсhe, hair and fur).

Any fairytale becomes  very real when created in 3-d and exist in your space like a miniature world. Although I like flat screens and canvases that are imitating 3-d reality, but the little world that you can touch is something more impressive.
